Welcome.

Hello All! Welcome to my long-awaited blog. By, long awaited, I mean this has been on my to-do list for quite some time. Let me start by telling you a bit about myself. My first name is Yasimin and my Mother gave me the middle name Abir. I was born in Saudi Arabia, but family roots are from Somalia. I have spent most of my life living in Canada and about ten years of my life in the United States. I am the youngest girl and the middle child out of seven children (five boys and two girls). My passion for HR started in my last year of high school. As I looked for programs that allowed me to help others in the Business profession, I fell upon Human Resources. I love the feeling of networking and connecting with others and being of aid brings me joy.

The goal of my blog is for you to follow along my journey as I transition from my current position as a HR Administrator/Payroll Clerk to my own consulting gig. Ultimately, with me giving some pro tips on dos and don’ts on your career from an HR perspective and just giving the inside scoop.

Oh ya!! Did I mention I would be starting my Master’s this January, in HRM (Human Resources Management)? I’ll write about my long educational journey in my next blog post and ways to tackle indecisiveness in academia. Till then sit tight❤.
